The Future of
Multi-sensory Event
In 2024, Grand Indonesia became the hub for innovation with the arrival of Wonderlab, an exhibition designed to blur the lines between reality and fantasy through the power of immersive technology. Wonderlab takes visitors on a journey into the future, where they can interact with cutting-edge installations and experience storytelling in ways never seen before.
The exhibition spans 3 main areas in East Mall Grand Indonesia: (1) the Main Event on the Ground floor, (2) the Main Atrium on the 1st floor, and (3) the Rama Atrium on the LG floor. Each space features exciting activities and advanced technologies like Metahuman™, Virtual Influencers, Holograms, Interactive Screens, Robotics, and Projection Mapping. Visitors can also explore innovations such as Integrated AI, Motion Capture, Generative Sound and Art, Voice Recognition, Robodog, and Real-time Interaction with Metahuman™.
WONDERLAB includes metahumans, music, entertainment, exclusive merchandise,
and more for animmersive experience.
In partnership with Grand Indonesia, the event runs from 21 June to 21 July ’24, during the school holiday season. WONDERLAB and its 11 Journeys of Wonder invite visitors to explore how advanced technology can shape the future, impact daily life, and redefine our place in the universe.
Main Installation

Behold the awe-inspiring giant astronaut towering in the heart of the main atrium at Wonderlab! This larger-than-life installation draws you into an immersive space journey, with your face projected to the astronaut head.

Step into an extraordinary journey through 11 immersive multisensory experience zones! Each area is uniquely designed to captivate your senses, blending light, sound, texture, and visuals to create unforgettable moments at every turn. Discover new worlds and unlock a sensory adventure like never before!
Zone 1
Time & Space Warp
Our first zone will look like a teleportation machine that bend time and space. The wall and the center area will be decorated with several LEDs. Here, Lavcaca Metahuman™ will appear to greet and welcome visitors into a line-blurring journey.
Zone 2
City of Tomorrow
As visitors enter this zone, they start feeling like they are in the future The room fill with floating city.
Zone 3
Eden Garden
After wandering in a radiant world, the journey will transition into a colorful one dominated with BIYAN’s flowery pattern signature. His creation showcased through digital image projection where visitor can interact with as if they are in an eternal paradise of peace and joy.
Zone 4
Arcade Room
After exploring some magic places, visitors will be travelled back in 1980s era to have some fun times with arcad machine. To amplify the theme, this area will be decorated with neon lights and pixel block LED installations.
Zone 5
Boundless Communication
The advent of advanced technology brought us to this realization: Time matters. Time lets us build connections, chase dreams, and live our lives. Now, what if it took less time for us to solve our problems? Meet TED, and allow him to blow your mind.
Zone 6
Melodies of Moonlight
This zone highlights the new Laurier Night’s unique “magnetic absorb” feature, ensuring comfort and worry-free night during menstruation. It’s showcased through puffy pillows, vibrant ambiance, interactive magnetic installations, and Unicorn icons for a magical experience. Here, visitors can enjoy karaoke and switch the room into night mode.
Zone 7
The Speed of Light
In this area, visitors will be spoiled with dancing lights and lasers installations, accompanied by ambient sound. As if they’re gazing the stars in the twilight sky. Here we will presents Mba BCA along with compelling installation to represent BCA as a pioneer in the world of banking innovations.
Zone 8
Robot Room
This area will be decorated by colorful stripe lines, with a big robot installation made of recycled materials doing cooking gestures. Designed to make visitors feeling hungry without angry by filling the room with food smells, and they can still enjoy the joy of watching fascinating modern kitchen.
Zone 9
To The Moon & Back
An area where THE MOON by UK Artist Luke jerram is presented. Visitor could create their own ambiance based on their generated prompt from “Bahasa Kasih”. The prompt will influence the sound sensor, ambience audio effect, and ambience light.
